Hydroponics is crop production with mineral nutrient solutions instead of soil containing silt and clay. Worldly plants may be grown with their roots in the mineral nutrient solution only or in an inert medium, such as sand, gravel or rockwool. A variety of techniques exist.
Hydroponics is also a standard technique in biology research and teaching and a popular hobby. There is little commercial hydroponics crop production because it is a more expensive method than traditional agriculture.
In Chiang Mai, hydroponics plant mainly produces at Royal Project. All plants and fruits are quite pricey because not similar plants as in any markets. All Royal Project products come under Doi Kham brand and sales at Doi Kham Building on Suthep Road. Seem people in Bangkok more interesting in these hydroponics products and they can effort as well, so big demanding for this market.
Ones who interesting to export can contact at Doi Kham Building as well and ones who want to grow for commercial can contact Maejo University, they can help you out how to grow and give advice but you need to find your own market. If you would like to grow and eat yourself you can buy hydroponics kid from market.
