Many people would like to find out about Chiangmai for one reason or other. Our readership is quite varied and they are interested in many different things. Some are preparing to come to Chiang Mai or Thailand for holidays. Others want to relocate to live or work here. Some are planning to court and marry a Lanna, tribal or Thai person. Others want to know about the culture, language and food. We too would enjoy reading articles that tell us about things and places in Chiangmai that we have never known before. Basically, anything that interests you should be of interest to our readers.
You can write about anything you want as long as it has something to do with Thailand and Chiang Mai in particular, such as: Travel stories, opinions, trip reports, travel tips, articles about Chiangmai life, Thai or Lanna language, hill tribes, Thai agriculture, daily events, places to visit, places to avoid, where to shop, where to eat, what to eat, what to do, etc.
They can be funny, serious, enlightening, educational, helpful to other travellers or residents, satirical, whatever, tell us your story. Go on, share it…
Please, think carefully about the title of your article. Many people read our articles on newsreaders and they only see the title. If it looks interesting they will then click on it. Therefore please don't mislead. We don't want any of our visitors going away feeling disappointed.

Pictures:
It is nice to have pictures on your articles. If you don't have any, then don't worry. We have a small photo library which we may use to brighten up your article. If you wish to use your own pictures, make sure that they are no larger in width than 450 pixels. We think that 350 pixels across is a good size and will help the page load quicker. Also, try not to have too many pictures in your article. Aim for a maximum of about 4 pics if possible.
Article Length:
Authors and writers submitting to visit-chiangmai.com should keep in mind that there are length restrictions for each form field in the article submission process although they are fairly liberal. These are as follows:
