Christa Homestay

Christa Homestay is a recently formed  Business to cater for the needs of tourists who would like to spend longer than the average holiday maker here in Thailand, at the same time you would be very welcome to stay as and when you wanted to.  The aim is to be available for tourists throughout the year.  Your stay will be made as comfortable as possible.  The houses are built of wood in a modern style but using traditional Thai techniques.  Each house has its own heated shower. A television and refrigerator is also included. Each private balcony overlooks our small private lake with views of hills and forests in the distance.  We are situated in the Province of Chiangmai in the North and about 45 kilometres from the City itself.

Bann Jang Nak

You will stay in "Bann Jang Nak", enjoy the cultural experience and learn about Thai cooking and carving the elephant wood that no institute ever teach this kind of carving.  This elephant carving is guarantied by five stars OTOP (One Tambon One Product).  The elephant sculptures are carved painstaking in details which look like real elephant. You will be amazed to see it.  Besides this you can explore the nearby attractions which are interesting and popular places.

Ban Tong Fay

Ban Tong Fay village is located in Chang Keung sub-district, Mae Chaem district, Chiang Mai province, was established more than 120 years ago with a population of 727 in 156 houses.  The villager's main occupation is agriculture.  They have plantations of red onions, rice and gourd etc. Side occupation is weaving "Teen chok cloth" both for homeuse and for sale.  Ban Tong Fay's Teen chok cloth is very famous because the patterns are very fine and beautiful.  There are many products such as neckties, scarf, picture frames, blouses and cloths etc.

You will stay in one of the villager's houses with their family.  Enjoy the cultural experience and learn about Thai cooking and the original way of weaving using the homemade machine following the families traditional methods.  Practice weaving the former beautiful pattern or create new patterns with your style.  Besides you can participate in the agricultural plantations and enjoy the cool shady rural environment there are plenty.
